EPO changes planned for 2010

Examination procedure, divisional applications & level of disclosures are few elements of the EPO changes planned for 2010. In this article, John Beatty, the Office Manager for Raising the Bar (RtB) at the European Patent Office (EPO), provides some background to the changes coming into force on April 1, 2010 with respect to Raising the Bar and inventive step, the Rule changes regarding search and examination, and the new requirements regarding time limits for filing of divisional applications.
